Membership is open to anyone (age 18 and older) interested in basket weaving!

If you have never joined the TBWA before, “Howdy!”

Your Individual or Shared Membership with the Texas Basket Weavers Association gives you access to our membership directory and newsletter plus the ability to register to attend our annual conference held in January. Local, national and even international guest instructors assist us in achieving our mission by offering classes for all skill levels at our annual conference and other events throughout the year.

  • Our annual conference is filled with basket weaving classes, baskets ideas, and networking with other basket weavers.
  • Our “Lone Star Twinings” newsletter provides useful tips, interesting articles on weaving, volunteer weaving events around Texas, news from the local Guilds, and other nifty resources.
  • Two membership options are available: Digital and Printed Membership:
    • Digital editions of the Lone Star Twinings newsletter are included with all memberships (select the $30 Digital Membership option).
    • If you prefer to receive printed, black and white editions of the Lone Star Twinings newsletter by mail, there is an additional yearly fee of $15. This must be paid at the same time as the annual membership fee (select the $45 Printed Membership option).

Shared Memberships require residence validation, and payment to our membership director.

If you’re a returning member, but it has been several months or so since the start of the new membership year (May 1st of every year), then you will need to log-in and use the membership renewal form to keep your current account details and the same email. There is a link on the log-in page to reset your password if you have forgotten it.

TBWA Membership year runs May 1 through April 30 and dues are not prorated.

Dues must be paid before May 31 to prevent your account from being deleted and guarantee your name to appear in the directory.

New Individual Memberships or renewal of an Individual Membership is now available online using one of our two forms below. Select which method throughout the year you would like to receive your copy of our Lone Star Twinings Newsletter, follow the prompts, then pay online during checkout. You will be sent an email to set up your username and password for your membership account.

Very Important Steps After Joining as a New Member!

Once you make your payment through PayPal (either by your PayPal account or by Credit Card option) you will:

  • Receive a PASSWORD setup email from TBWA.
  • Check your SPAM folder in case you don’t see it in your Inbox!
  • Follow the links in the email to create your new password.
  • You will also receive an email from Mailchimp on behalf of the TBWA asking you to confirm your new TBWA subscription. This allows you to receive the Digital Newsletter for your Membership, or other email announcements from the TBWA.

Individual Digital Newsletter Membership

$30/Year

Digital editions of the newsletter are included in the Individual Membership and are emailed to your email address listed with your membership account. This is a Standard Individual Membership and can not be shared.

Membership is not pro-rated and automatically ends on April 30th of the membership year.

Individual Printed Newsletter Membership

$45/Year

Black and white printed editions of the newsletter are mailed via USPS to members for a yearly fee of $15, in addition to the Standard Individual Membership fee of $30 (total membership fee: $45). This is a Printed Individual Membership and can not be shared.

Membership is not pro-rated and automatically ends on April 30th of the membership year.

Shared Digital Newsletter Membership

$45/Year

Shared Memberships are defined as:

  • Members are living at same address (by household) and verified by official ID/driver’s license.
  • Shared membership is one membership at full membership fee (based on Individual membership fee listed above), second and after at half of the full membership fee;
  • Shared membership entitles household to one digital newsletter and one contact email.
  • ALL shared members are required to pay full TBWA Conference fees.
  • Shared membership applications, along with payments and proof of shared residence, shall be mailed to the Membership Director at the address shown on the TBWA membership application.
